The Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills was established in 1993 as a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the education opportunities for all students in the Millburn public schools. We are committed to sponsoring programs and equipment that add depth to the curriculum and broaden the scholastic experience for our children.

Photo In 1997 the state legislature enacted S-1701 which strictly regulated how much school budgets could increase annually. In light of state and federally mandated programs and increased energy and insurance costs, districts struggle to maintain their programming and stay within the current 4% budget cap. This year the Board of Education will face very difficult budgetary choices in order to maintain reasonable class sizes while continuing to provide an excellent education.

Right Align As budget caps hinder the district's ability to sustain the high-quality education students deserve, it rests upon the generosity of the community to support initiatives that achieve these goals.  The Foundation's Executive Board, volunteers who unselfishly give their time, members who thoughtfully contribute during our campaigns, and businesses and foundations that donate funds and services are all partners in our efforts. Our collective vision is to not only enhance student learning but to arm students with the tools and self-confidence to reach for their dreams. The Education Foundation invites you to join us in our pursuit of excellence.
